Not Too Young To Build Strong Bones!

Updated: Apr 21, 2022

One of my favourite things to tell my clients is "Your future self will thank you" and I believe this with every fibre of my being.

The Younger we are the less some things matter to us and the less thought and emphasis we place on them. Things like our bone health. When was the last time you thought to yourself "I need to take better care of my bones"? My guess is you can't remember.

While growing up we were reminded to drink our glass of milk to help to build strong bones and teeth but that's NOT the ONLY thing we need to make our bones STRONG. We also need a healthy dose of Protein, Vitamin D, Vitamin K and EXERCISE (to name a few).

Research has shown that while in our 20's and early 30's we have what is known as our peak bone mass meaning, our bones are at their STRONGEST. Think of it this way, the more bone mass you start with the longer it will take to develop low bone density or Osteoporosis. So the sooner you start practicing bone safe exercises the better it will be for your bones.

There is a Chinese proverb that says the "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." It's never too early or too late to start. The important thing is that you begin! If you haven't already show your bones some love today. Here's my daily healthy BON.E.FIDE Bones Routine.
